Products We Use

Topical Therapy

Minoxidil (2%)

    • I spoke with her dermatologists before buying this. He said it was fine to use but to make sure I get the one for women. There are few things that I read that said the 2% is not effective, however, I do not want to use the 5% because that might be too strong. I apply this twice a day (to her scalp and eyebrows) after I apply a hot rag (please see next entry).
Hot Rag + Aloe Vera Juice/ACV
    • I apply a hot cloth to her head twice a day (for a total of about 15 minutes). I apply the rag once and then spray a mixture of (diluted) apple cider vinegar and aloe vera juice. Then I apply the cloth three more times. I use the rag to increase the blood circulation to that area.

Diet Regimen

Gluten Free
    • This might be a little bit of an overstatement - but by the end of the month we will be on track. Right now, all of our food at home is gluten free. My only challenge is the fact that she eats breakfast and lunch at school. I am going to start packing her lunches this. I am also going to contact her school to see if we can work together to ensure that her breakfast choice is gluten free. I eliminated cereal, wheat bread, bread all together, pasta (unless its gluten free), flour and few snacks. Overall it was an easy transition.
    • I give this to her once a day in the evening, during bath time. I use a brand called "Buddy Bear".
    • I give this to her during dinner. I mix 1 ounce with a 100% juice or tea. The recommended amount is two ounces but I believe that dosage is for adults - so I decided to only do one ounce.
